I wrote twice tonight.
Just for fun you might want to try this. Go back and read my first blog entry. I think it is page 203- listed at the bottom of this page. Click the page number. I was so excited then - imagine that day. I really had no idea how absolutely wonderful it is to have Emma in my life.
Emma I love you.
Staff remember how nervous I was about working with her? I wondered if she would like me?

Today Emma got back out and about. I had to go to the eye doctor. I have an eye infection. It sure is uncomfortable. The drops will help. My granddaughters are fine so I did not get my pink eye from them. Just classic conjunctivitis (sp?) and I am trying to avoid spreading it to my other eye.
She was perfect at the doctor. We headed to Walmart as Greg needed something there that he could not find at Target. I am not a fan of how Walmart has taken over small towns and does not use union. Oh well we still go there at times. Emma got some walking in and practice with narrow aisles. She did a super job. There were lots of children but they all seemed to know (or mom reminded them) that you don't pet a working dog. The bigger kids were still in school. But the bigger kids often tell the "parents" the rules of the working dog.
I feel so fortunate to have Emma. She is so much help when I am using a scooter or at home too. Lately she really likes bringing me the phone. We are off to go to another store tonight for a few things. She is so awesome. She sure gets excited when we say "car". She knows what door to go to for that. The front door. She is there sitting obediently waiting for me.
I am sensitive to the light due to my eye being inflamed so we did not go out for a walk outside with the scooter today. It wasn't always sunny but it was bright. We did get outside. Now with summer, sometimes I like to sit in the front of the house to see neighbors and what is going on. We have nice shade. Greg was working outdoors. When on that side of the house (rather than the fenced in back yard) I use a long flexi with Emma. I am pleased to say she handles that well. I do not dress her (I do for walks) and she listens well. I let her know her limits on the flexi and she does not pull or anything.
Well we are off to another quick errand. Then home to read and go to bed. Tomorrow we have water exercise. Yeah for that.
Take care,
Mary and the wonderful service dog Emma

Oops I did not write yesterday. We are doing just fine.
The wedding was nice Saturday. The granddaughters (mine) were the cutest girls there I thought. We sat with them and Mike anad Tia which was nice. They are such good parents with the girls. It was located at a place that includes an indoor park. Lots of things for the kids to see.
Sunday we rested/ Emma got outside of course. i am so glad to have her to go outside with me. It is relaxing to sit out there with her. Fun to play with her too. We had a nice easy going day.
I will write more later in the day. Hope your day goes well - Emma and Mary

I felt so much better today. Yeah for that. We were home all day. Greg took the day off as he works Sunday. It was so nice to have him home.
I think Emma was puzzled at times. We took down our old blinds in the living room and put up new ones. Not as easy as it sounds. Different type so different brachets. Furniture had to be moved, I have a toy corner that had to have things moved. Then room for a ladder was needed so furniture in the middle of the room...well like most home projects it took more time than anticipated. Then bummer one blind won't work. We went to the website. Looks like it will have to be returned. A new one will have to be cut and measured - maybe ordered if they don't have the right color. I have a picture window and a smaller window on each side. Was it too much to want all this done in one step on one day...life can go that way.
Greg tried to mow but it started to rain again. The grass was wet from yesterday's rain till this afternoon. I had a hard time getting Emma off the patio and on the wet grass to go potty. That surprised me but she held off till noon despite a few attempts. The lady wanted to stay dry I guess.
The girls came over with Mike and Tia for dinner and to visit. Rosa came in with a sock Monkey. Well we have one we let Emma hold sometimes so she wanted it. The sock monkey went on top of the tv till they left. Emma and Rosa didn't mind at all. It is such a joy to have their family over.
Tomorrow I hope I feel good. We are all going to a family wedding that should be enjoyable. I don't have a lot to say. Emma was so good all day again today. We have to watch her as her tail can really whip poor little Rosa at her height. Emma can get excited and knock little Rosa right over.
Hope you have a good weekend. Don't worry if I get home too late Sat to write. I will write Sunday for sure. Thanks for reading this. Emma has been so cuddly. Now she likes to curl up next to me with her head right in my lap. With being home all week we have had lots of time to snuggle. I love her so much. Today she kepts trying to bring me a blanket but it was so warm I didn't need one. She is a sweet dog for sure.
Take care, Mary and Emma

Of course not snow but white petals over my yard and drive way. Wind and light rain and the blossoms from my crab apple tree are scattered. They were particularily beautiful this year. It is suppose to rain and looks like it could pour any minute but just light amounts so far. Emma has been out and now we are going to cuddle in for a nap. We were outside til there were light sprinkles of rain. She loves outdoor time and I love that she reminds me to get outside all year round.
I still am struggling with my health but I say cautiously it seems better. NOTHING SERIOUS MS fatigue, upset digestion that kind of stuff. We have been home all week. Emma is a good companion. We need some rain for our gardens so it might as well rain enough to matter ha ha.
We would like sun for the weekend and tomorrow. Enjoying our cozy home today and having each other. Even the phone has been very quiet. I finally think I feel good enough to read tonight so that will be good.
Not to worry we are both doing okay. One day at a time. Mary
