I am home from the hospital. Able to breathe without oxygen supplement and resting. I will try to write more tomorrow. Emma was with me much of the time at the hospital and was just awesome. Happy to be home and breathing easier...Mary

Mary is in the hospital due to her cold and breathing problems. We welcome your kind thoughts and prayers. We're happy to say she's a little bit better, and the doctors are working hard to get her home soon.

The day after Thanksgiving was fun. Mike, Tia, Rosa and Sophia and dog Lily slept over camping out on our living room floor and couches. They got to stay up late playing games and we got to wake up to their smiles. Greg made us a big breakfast.
Then it was time for me to sleep. This darn cold. Greg is so worried about me getting over it (which includes the asthma problems is stirs up) by the wedding. I am going to try to reach my clinic today.
So hey did you battle the crowds and shop? In our family Becky did go at 2 am. Among her finds were a $4 very nice dog bed for Emma to have in our living room. It is so nice Emma was using it all day. I will try to get a photo.
I am coughing a lot now so will try to write later. Thanks to my family for making the holiday specially. My husband made an awesome meal complete with enough leftovers to send home with my kids too if they wanted.
One thing that amazes me is how great Lily is when here (my grand dog). When I took the dogs outside Emma was so funny. She would venture into the yard to do her duty and just scope things out. Lily would do the same. Then before she came in Emma had to review Lily's footsteps almost exactly...like she didn't want to miss anything that Lily smelled.
My children are good about taking the dogs out so they get out in the yard (with supervision) when they are here.
Have a good Saturday...Mary and Emma
I have heard some people can't get the pictures of blogspot blog to work for them. I willl for now blog both places.

We are still struggling with my cold. "WE" as in Emma, Greg, and I and Anna who helped prepare things (slept over).
I coughed so much in the night with trouble breathing we almost went to ER. Obviously with medication here we managed. When I woke in the morning I was assigned this job - take your meds and head back to bed. Don't move and see if the cough stays under control. There with Christmas music to soothe me I rested with Emma. Greg and Anna did all the work. The food prep, dishes, table prep and so on.
Hurray Mike and Tia, Sophia and my Son Dan joined us for dinner a bit after noon. It was lovely and oh so yummy. Greg refered to it as the main meal. We serve leftovers, fruit, and dessert later in the day. It was relaxed and went well.
After some clean up it was a relaxing time. Mike moved some things for us in the basement. We got the dinning room cleaned up. Rosa was tired so the movie Kung Fu Panda was the show of the afternoon. I putzed a little in the kitchen but did not do much. IT was fun to be with everyone though we were quiet.
Greg and Anna needed naps after being up so early. Later I also took a nap, Mike andTia left for her familiy. Now I am up and Thanksgiving Part Two is going to start soon.
We are having round two like never before. Leftovers, with fruit, etc (that not unusual) but if things go right Becky and Justin will join us when they get into town this evening. Then if they aren't too tired Mike and Tia are coming back!! How fun is that.
Games will begin. Even a sleepover for those who don't mind using a couch, Mike and Tia are planning to camp out on the floor with a futton mattress if they come back. Usually by now we would have played games a lot and eaten dinner a bit later. I am excited for how the day is going.
When Lily came Emma got so excited. We had to work to calm Emma down a bit she is so excited to see Lily. Not long and they both are hanging out just fine. Now there is the possibility that Mike and Tia will change plans about coming back or that Becky (it is her birthday) will not be back till late...we will play this by ear. But there will be games. Dan brought his wii and there are board games.
I miss Sophia so much who is with her dad. I am not sure if she will be home later and coming over or waiting to see us on the weekend.
Usually ours are a bit nosier by now. They are watching a movie when i woke up of some kind....leftovers will be served soon...
I am just so happy to enjoy the day even with this crummy cold and asthma bothering me. I have the greatest family in the world I think. Emma has been good. I think she liked napping by my side too. When I am up a lot at night so is she.
Hope you had fun with your family or friends today. Whether it was a bit rowdy, crazy, and loud or more quiet or both... happiness on your day...
