Becky stopped by briefly today. We warned everyone about germs so it has been quiet around here. Mary was out of bed a bit today. We hope Becky stays well. The weather is suppose to keep warming up this week and get to like 40 on Wed I think. Mary is feeling better so that is good. Greg was going to take me grocery shopping just to get me out of the house but that did not happen. I suppose it was good I was here for Mary. Both he and Mary made sure I got outside. I keep checking through the pation door though to be sure Mary is okay. I relax more when she is actually outside with me.
I am retrieving things for Mary but also giving lots of moral support and snuggling.

Hi, Mary is still sleeping most the time. Even I got an upset tummy because I got into something I should not have. The humans here are pretty trained but Greg left something irrisistable on the counter. Mary was sleeping. Now they know I can both put things on the counter and take them off. Mary said that's enough of that. Don't worry it did not have bones. Sometimes I am like other dogs I guess - hungry.
My tummy is fine now. Mary is making sure I am in the room with her even if she is sleeping. Normally I stay right by her -- what can I say? Greg is home tonight so that is nice. Mary made sure I got out during the day. But it will be fun to have him around too since Mary is so worn out.

Oh my gosh I felt naked going out without Emma. I talk to her, pet her, and have her at my side all the time. Everyone at the YMCA asked why I didn't have the dog. As I did the water exercise and swimming I kept looking to see how she was. Her empty spot seemed lonely. Then I got worried about if I should have left her alone. what if she was really sick?
Well she greeted me warmly at the door. She seems just fine now. I am sure glad I have her. I hope it is many many years till I have to face life without her. Off for a nap...

I woke up to Emma throwing up in my bed. Now isn't that a pretty picture. Poor Emma. We don't know why she got sick. Later she had rice and some chicken broth and wanted to stay laying in bed. She made no motion to go to the door as I got ready for swimming so I am going without her. I think she will sleep. I won't be gone very long I hope. It is Thursday am.
Sometimes the blog will say a day ahead of when I wrote because of the time difference. Like last night I wrote before midnight here but it was labeled Thursday.
I would stay home with Emma but she has been quiet and okay for several hours now. I don't have anything else planned for today.
I mention this in my blog because though a service dog is very unique in what it does skill wise, it still is a dog. Tummy trouble and other problems arise just like any animal. WHen you take on owning or training a service dog you have to deal with that.
