Emma needed some exercise today - so did we. She was outside of course, but we also headed to the large Super Target Store in Maple Grove. Greg was so determined to get some walking in that he did some laps around the store and walked with Emma! She also walked with me while I walked (yes walked) with a cart.
Normally I use an electric cart at Target but sometimes I push myself to walk with a cart. Okay it is slow walking but it does get my legs moving. I needed that streching today. I move slow but we did it. It is a personal triumph for me when I accomplish this feat. Some days it would not be wise but today it was possible. It limits a bit how many places I get to shop but still it got me out and moving. I could come home and nap.
I think it was good for Emma. She seemed to like getting out. She was very good both with me and Greg. Tonight she got out several times with Greg and/or myself. She had a good day and so did I. She makes every day more enjoyable.
Emma helped pick up things today. That is a daily task of course but tonight I bumped some things off my coffee table - she was so helpful at one by one picking things up for me. She helped a bit with laundry. She was so interested in helping any way that she could. She was so motivated today. A few treats helped of course but also some play time and tlc. Emma just is such a great dog.
Tomorrow we get to share the day with Rosa. That will be fun. Grandma and Grandpa might take her out to breakfast or lunch to usher in the new year a bit early. We will have a quiet evening just the two of us I think.
Hope your day goes well.

Yeah. I found out my second cousin Mary Ellen is no longer in Pakistan (I blogged about it a few days ago). She is safely in the US. She came home for Christmas. I am unsure if she has to go back there or will go to her next assignment in the New Year. I did not know she was back in the USA - I am relieved.
We had a great time at dinner with friends last night. Emma was well behaved like normal. I think our day will be quiet today. More later.

I slept very late today. Emma had Greg to feed her and take her out to play. Sometimes with MS I just need that extra sleep. Today was one of those days. Emma of course checked on me when she woke up, greeted me after going outdoors, and then snuggled in next to me. She fell sound asleep.
She was so sound asleep that I had a hard time waking her. It sent a panic through me. Yes she was fine but for just a split second I thought of finding my cat dead this past year. I couldn't bare to loose Emma. My gosh I don't know how I will ever cope in life without her. She is part of every minute of every day. Well she is fine - thank goodness.
We are going out to dinner with friends Greg has made through his work. Emma will of course go with. I think it will be fun. Otherwise it will be a quiet day, i will tackle a few quiet chores as my energy allows. When i am going out at night I have to be sure to get enough rest in the day time.
Yesterday, we had a lot of fun with Rosa and Sophia. I treasure them both. Fun to have Mike and Tia with us for a simple dinner also. I am blessed.
I am writing now as I don't know if I will have time later tonight. I hope you are all doing okay.

This will be short. We have had Rosa and Sophia for the day. Mommy and Daddy joined us for supper. Soon they are headed to the movies with Sophia. We will take care of Rosa.
We have had a good day. Yes we snuck in a short nap.
Emma is fine. A warm up is headed this way they predict late next week. So in the meantime Emma is enjoying the snow.
Sophia cuddled with Emma and brushed her for me. She is good to Emma. Rosa and Sophia enjoyed watching the gerbils we have - they got a new cage with lots of tubes and various places to climb and hide.
We are having a good day. I just don't have much time to write.
Take care Mary and Emma

I am happy to report Emma seems just fine. She stayed home with my husband a few hours. I wanted her to be home but only if someone was there to keep an eye on her. She seems sleepy but otherwise fine. She ate breakfast like normal and played in the snow as usual. I just wanted to error on the side of caution.
I gave her lots of extra tlc last night and this morning. I petted her, rubbed her back and I guess gave her what I call a doggy massage ha ha. She fell deeply asleep. You could tell by her posture that she was very relaxed. She sure liked that. We will be home the rest of the day so that is good for both of us.
Friday Greg is still off. If all goes as planned we will have both Rosa and Sophia with us all day. We are planning to bring them to our house to play. Emma will like that. The weather is nice so if Sophia wants to, she can bring her snow pants and play outside with Emma. We will see what she wants to do.
We look forward to a quiet evening. Hope in the holiday hustle and bustle you still find quiet times.
